Kendal, April 2, 2026 — PT GTI welcomed a group of Fashion Design students from SMK Texmaco Semarang (Vocational High School), accompanied by their teachers, for an industrial visit aimed at introducing the professional world and fostering early career interest. This initiative is part of an industry-based learning approach designed to provide students with real-world insights into the textile and garment sector. The visit also serves to inspire students to explore potential career paths and consider GTI as a future workplace after graduation.
During the visit, participants received a comprehensive company profile presentation covering GTI’s business processes, product range, and workplace culture. This session provided students with a broader understanding of how the company operates within the textile and garment industry, highlighting both technical processes and organizational values. The program was then followed by a guided factory tour to several key areas, including the showroom, handloom section, and garment sample room.
Through the factory tour, students were able to directly observe the production flow, from material processing to finished products. This hands-on exposure allowed them to connect theoretical knowledge gained in school with actual industrial practices, resulting in a more comprehensive and practical understanding of the industry. The experience also offered valuable insights into quality standards, workflow efficiency, and the collaborative nature of production in a professional setting.
The participants showed strong enthusiasm throughout the visit, particularly during the interactive question-and-answer session, where they actively explored topics related to career opportunities and the working environment in the textile industry. Through this activity, GTI aims not only to broaden students’ perspectives but also to contribute to the development of future talent by strengthening the link between education and industry, while encouraging a proactive and well-prepared transition into the workforce.
