Supporting Fashion Design Education: GTI Donates Woven Fabric Materials to SMKN 1 Kendal

2026-06-24

As part of its commitment to supporting vocational education, PT Golden Tekstil Indonesia (GTI) donated 75 kilograms of fabric to SMKN 1 Kendal on May 18, 2026. The donation was carried out under the company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program in education, aimed at enhancing learning quality while strengthening collaboration between industry and educational institutions. The fabric was handed over by Mr. Evan Beta Kartika, HR Manager, and Mr. Eka Kurniadi, Recruitment Supervisor, and received by representatives of SMKN 1 Kendal, including the Head of the Special Job Exchange (BKK), the Vice Principal for Public Relations, and teachers from the Fashion Design Department.

The initiative was driven by the need for adequate learning materials to support practical training activities for Fashion Design students. As a company operating in the textile industry, GTI understands the importance of hands-on learning experiences in helping students develop skills that meet industry requirements. Support from industry partners plays an important role in creating a more practical and relevant learning environment for vocational students.

Through this program, GTI provided 75 kilograms of fabric to be used in various classroom projects and practical learning activities. The availability of sufficient materials is expected to help students improve their technical skills, enhance creativity, and gain learning experiences that are closer to real industrial conditions. It also allows students to better understand production processes and quality standards commonly applied in the textile and garment industry.

In addition to providing learning materials, GTI continues to support vocational education through internship opportunities and other collaborative programs with educational institutions. Through its educational CSR initiatives and sustainable partnerships, GTI hopes to contribute to the development of competent and industry-ready graduates who can meet the evolving needs of the textile and garment sector in the future.
