The spirit of competition, teamwork, and sportsmanship came alive at the Kendal Industrial Park (KIK) Sports Tournament, held on 1–2 August 2026 at Ronald Korompis Sport Hall SCU BSB Semarang. Held as part of the celebration of Indonesia’s Independence Day, the tournament brought together more than 20 companies to compete in futsal and men’s and women’s doubles badminton. Amid strong competition, PT Golden Tekstil Indonesia (GTI) proudly secured two 1st-place titles, winning both futsal and women’s doubles badminton. These achievements reflect the enthusiasm and dedication of GTI employees, who continued to give their best throughout the competition. For the futsal team, the victory was even more meaningful as they improved from 3rd place in the previous tournament to 1st place this year.

The journey to the futsal championship was filled with exciting moments. In the final, GTI faced PT Eclat in a closely fought match. Both teams showed strong determination and ended regular time with a 1–1 draw, sending the match into a penalty shootout. With focus, confidence, and solid teamwork, GTI successfully won the shootout and secured the 1st-place title. The success continued in the women’s doubles badminton competition. The GTI team delivered a strong performance throughout the knockout stage and secured a place in the final after defeating PT Kawasan Industri Kendal in the semifinal. In the final match, the GTI pair maintained their composure and defeated Polifurneka with a score of 21–9, completing GTI’s second championship victory.

Beyond the final scores, the tournament provided an opportunity for GTI employees to build teamwork, strengthen relationships, and develop a strong spirit of sportsmanship. Competing together outside the workplace also created a different kind of experience, where employees could support one another and celebrate their achievements as one team. These two championship titles are more than just trophies. They represent the teamwork, determination, and never-give-up spirit of GTI employees. The achievement is a proud moment for the company and an inspiration for everyone to continue giving their best, supporting one another, and carrying the GTI spirit into every challenge both on and off the field.
